Florida Law Requires Crowd Managers for Large Gatherings
Under Florida Statute 633.202 and the Florida Fire Prevention Code, any assembly with more than 50 occupants must have a designated Crowd Manager present.
✔ 1 Crowd Manager is required for every 250 occupants
✔ Applies to events, festivals, community gatherings, concerts, and large meetings
✔ Designed to improve life safety, emergency awareness, and evacuation procedures
Many community associations, lifestyle programs, and event coordinators are unaware this requirement applies to them when hosting large events.

The North Fort Myers Fire Control & Rescue District is offering a FREE Crowd Management Certification Course designed for:
• Lifestyle Directors
• HOA / Community Association Managers
• Event Coordinators
• Security Personnel
• Facility Staff
• Anyone responsible for hosting or supervising large gatherings; You’re welcome to bring resident volunteers, as well, IF they are leading any assembly over 50 people
Open to All Communities. You do not need to live or work within the North Fort Myers Fire District—attendees from anywhere are welcome.
